Albert M. McConahy (77) of Ellwood City, PA went to be with the Lord on January, 31, 2022.

Mr. McConahy was born on July 6, 1944 in Ellwood City, PA to the late William C. and Leah (Meyer) McConahy.  He was a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1962.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam war from 1962-1966.  He also served in the reserves between 1966-1968.  He worked as a bail bondsman in Birmingham, Alabama from 1966-1969.  He later worked at The National Tube Mill in Ellwood City, as well as Universal Refractories in Wampum and B & W Steel in Beaver Falls.  He served as the Franklin Township Supervisor, serving 3 terms, from 1985 until his retirement in 2003.

Mr. McConahy was an avid fisherman, and realized one of his life-long dreams by going to Alaska twice, and catching halibut.  He had friends who learned much from him about the art of fishing.

He was a member of the Lillyville Church of God, where he served for 3 years as an elder, and was instrumental years ago in helping create the archery range that was used at one time at Lillyville.

He was a life-time member and Master Mason of Hoover Lodge #644 F. & A.M., as well as a member of the Valley of New Castle, 32 ^nd degree Mason.  Mr. McConahy also belonged to the American Legion, Post #0157, Ellwood City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Leah D. McConahy, and his older sister, Lynda McConahy.

Mr. McConahy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Gamel McConahy, whom he married on Dec. 30, 1964.  He is also survived by his daughter Leah (Eric) Dombeck of Fombell, PA and two sons, Bill McConahy, of Freeport, PA, and Stephen (Malena) McConahy of Calhoun, GA, and 8 grandchildren, Travis Dombeck of Fombell, PA, Kayla and Billy McConahy of New Castle, PA, Makaela (Noah) Ranels, Maggie McConahy, Maebry McConahy of Calhoun, GA, Isabella Clyde of Ellwood City, and Brody McConahy of Sarver, PA.  Mr. McConahy also leaves 2 great-grandsons, Oliver and Elliot Dombeck of Allison Park, PA and a great-granddaughter, Ridley Ranels of Calhoun, GA.  He is also survived by his 2 sisters, Billie Jo Mentzer of Beaver Falls, PA and Jenanne McConahy of Ellwood City, PA and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held by family members.
