MAYVILLE- Andrew J. Cesarz, 71, of Mayville, NY passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA.
He was born Nov. 16, 1950, in Cleveland, OH, son of John and Kazimera Liszewski Cesarz. He attended Cleveland State University and the Raabe College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.
Andy and his wife Cathy were pharmacist owners of Mayville Pharmacy in Mayville, NY from 1979 to 1992.
Andy was involved with Boy Scout Troop 126 in Mayville for 30 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with the Scouts which included trips to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, the National Jamboree, Ace Whitewater Rafting in West Virginia and the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. He guided scores of Scouts through the Eagle Scout Program.
Andy enjoyed fishing, especially with his kids and his friend Bob with whom he fished for over 50 years. Andy was also a member of the Westfield Fish and Game Club.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents John and Kazimera Liszewski Cesarz and his grandparents John and Harriet Liszewski.
He is survived by his wife Cathy who he married Sept. 11, 1976, son Alex, daughter Lydia Cesarz and a grandson Odie Eggers. He is also survived by a brother Tom (Karen), a nephew Tom (Katie) and great niece Hannah, a niece Marissa (Glenn) Gustin and two great nephews Isaac and Aaron.
A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2022.
