DEWITTVILLE – Anne Webb Straitiff, 64, of Dewittville, died Friday (January 30, 2015) in WCA Hospital in Jamestown.
She was born December 5, 1950 in Westfield, NY the daughter of the late Paul V. and Nadine Henderson Webb.
Prior to retiring Anne was the president of Webb Candies and Webb's Motel in Mayville for many years. Anne also had taught Pre School at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mayville.
Anne loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed baking cookies, gardening, and wintering in Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Richard M. Straitiff whom she married October 8, 1976 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mayville. She is also survived by three children, Sara (Dustin) Dilker of Jamestown, Stephen Straitiff of Charlotte, NC and Richard Straitiff Jr. of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Shawn Dilker and Kyle Dilker both of Jamestown; three brothers, Paul (Judy) Webb Jr. of Mayville, James (Sally) Webb of Mayville, and John (Kathy) Webb of Winter Haven, FL; one sister, Mary Kay (Gary) Peck of Westfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday (February 7, 2015 in St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mayville. Rev. Todd Remick will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Friday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville.
