RIPLEY- Arlene Mae King DeMarco, 88, of Ripley, NY, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 1, 1933, in Edinboro, PA, the daughter of the late Duane B. and LaWanda Mory King.

Arlene was a 1951 graduate of North East High School. Together with her husband, Dan, they owned and operated DeMarco Grape Farm and DeMarco Trucking in Ripley, NY for many years. In later years she drove Limo's for her grandson, Randy Galbreath of La Grand Elite, was a driver for Meals on Wheels of Chautauqua County, delivering food to thirty people, and was also a tram driver at the Chautauqua Institution transporting visitors all around the grounds.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ripley, a volunteer for MOPS and was a Woman of the Moose.

Arlene was proud of her Irish heritage. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor. Two of her favorite experiences were going to the Caribbean for her 40 ^th anniversary and traveling to Hawaii with a friend. She was an avid reader of James Patterson books, and enjoyed water aerobics at Welch Field Pool, line dancing, listening to Elvis, rooting for her Buffalo Bills, and watching her grandchildren play sports. Most of all she loved being with her family.

She is survived by her five children: Dan F. (Stephanie DiRaimo) DeMarco of Westfield, NY, Roger (Cathy) DeMarco of North East, PA, John (Lori) DeMarco of Wrightstown, NJ, Jackie Ollinger of North East, PA, and Cindy (Gary) Eggleston of Westfield, NY, twenty grandchildren, and thirty three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Dan F. DeMarco, whom she married May 5, 1951, in North East, PA, a sister; Joyce Fromknecht, and one brother; Clyde King.

A memorial service will be held at 3PM on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Ripley (9869 East Side Hill Rd, Ripley, NY 14775) or the Ripley Library (64 W. Main Street, Ripley, NY 14775).
