SHERMAN – Arminita "Minnie" Cupp, 90, of Titus Road, Sherman, died Monday (December 26, 2016) at her home.
She was born June 17, 1926 in Panama, NY, the daughter of the late Merle and Mable Stevens Peru.
Minnie was a homemaker, and had worked at Luke's Superette for 5 years and at Graham's Market for 27 years.
She was a life member of Lake Chautauqua Memorial Post 8647 VFW Auxiliary in Mayville, a member of the Sherman Community Church, and she had been a Den Mother for Pack 24 of Sherman.
Minnie loved to be with family having picnics and camping with her family. She enjoyed traveling to the west to see family and to Alaska to visit her son Lamont and family.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Cupp of Sherman, and Lamont (Cindy) Cupp of Pueblo West, CO.; one daughter, Wendy (Jerry) Hoag of Mayville; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Cupp whom she married Nov. 27, 1952 in Titusville, PA and who died Sept. 26, 2012; a daughter, Becky Cupp; a grandson, Robbie Cupp; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday (January 3, 2017) at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. Burial will be in the Sherman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Monday and for one hour (10 to 11 am) Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Stanley Hose Fire Department in Sherman.
