STOCKTON-Arvied Lester Steinhoff, 76, of Stockton, passed away on April 3, 2019 in Foley, AL.

He was born April 15, 1942, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late George and Mildred Marsh Steinhoff.

Arvied had been a farmer in Stockton. He had also worked for Sam Raters Construction, A-Sam's and Sons Trucking, Jamestown Plastics, and Agri America.

He enjoyed square dancing and running his farm. He was a jack of all trades that liked to tinker with things. He was a great mechanic who could make anything run.

Arvied is survived by his wife; Burnice Shields Steinhoff, whom he married September 24, 1994 in Warren, PA, a son; Alan (Valerie) Steinhoff of Stockton, a daughter; Barbara (Forrest) Phillips of Stockton, four grandchildren; Jacob (Tina) Steinhoff, Austin, Justin and Jeremiah Phillips and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; Betty Steinhoff, and his parents.

The funeral will be held at 1PM on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S Erie St). Burial will be in the Chautauqua Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the funeral home on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
