JAMESTOWN- Beatrice T. Rhodes, 96, of Jamestown, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at UPMC Chautauqua following a brief illness. She was born January 24, 1928, in Erie, PA, the daughter of the late Sante and Ida Maglucci Santini.

Beatrice was a 1946 graduate of Strong Vincent High School in Erie, PA. She had worked for many years for H&R Block in Dunkirk, NY, preparing tax returns. She also did bookkeeping for several local businesses. In earlier years she was a homemaker, raising her three children in Brocton, NY.

She enjoyed growing flowers, rooting for the Buffalo Bills, cooking, sewing, puzzles, and watching home improvement shows. Most of all she enjoyed family time at their cottage on Chautauqua Lake.

Beatrice is survived by her three children: Thomas (Terry) Rhodes of Ashville, NY, David Rhodes of Lakewood, NY, and Diane (Robert) Johnson of Graniteville, SC; four grandchildren: Dustin Rhodes, Ashley Geiger, Tyler Rhodes, and Kristin (Tim) Kinas; two great-grandchildren: Emma and Sydney Kinas; and two nieces: Barbara Folga and Lynne Bone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary W Rhodes, whom she married November 25, 1950, in Erie, PA; a grandson, Kyle Johnson and her brother, William Santini.

At Beatrice's request, there will be no public services observed. A private interment will be held at the Portland Evergreen Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
