MAYVILLE – Bertil E. Carlson Jr. 82, of 99 Water Street, Mayville, died Friday (March 18, 2016) at Absolut at Westfield. He had lived in Mayville since 1969.
He was born January 25, 1934 in Celeron, NY, the son of the late Bertil and Edna Carlson Sr.
Bert had worked at Ethan Allen Furniture in Mayville as a yardman having worked there from Jan. 23, 1969 until 1995. He also worked at Hope Windows and on a dairy farm in Jamestown.
He is survived by one son, Daniel Carlson of Westfield, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Patricia Caylor, Betty Haase, Virginia Pearson, and Olive Carlson.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral on Monday at the funeral home.
