MAYVILLE- Beth June Higgs Textor, 61, of Mayville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at her home in Mayville.
She was born June 6, 1958 in Westfield, the daughter of the late Lewis Higgs and Betty Holcomb-Higgs-Maring.
Beth was employed by Haff Acres Farm in Mayville where she was a jack of all trades. In prior years she had also worked as a waitress for the Mayville Diner and Graces Family Restaurant, as well as a Nurse for Heritage Green Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Mayville United Methodist Church where she played in the Bell Choir and had been a Girl Scout leader for eighteen years.
She had a caring and nurturing nature and was calming to those who loved her. She was friend, mom and grandma to many through the years and would do anything she could to help those in need even if it was just by her smile or her hugs.
Beth enjoyed reading, musicals, penguins, coffee, Girls Scouts and Church functions, and time with her family,  and the many other kids she was "Mom" to and especially her grandchildren who were her world.
She is survived by her two children; Tabitha (Gary) Say of Mayville and Stephanie (Gabe)Textor  of Mayville, one stepson; Darrin Textor of Mayville, four grandchildren; Michael Krause, Connor Say, Mackenzie Say, and Thora Ballew, one sister; Beverly (Lavern) Harrington, seven brother and sister in-laws; William Textor, Ellsworth Textor, Gary (Julie) Textor, Danny (Marlene) Textor, Dorothy (Bruce) Hokanson, Raymond (Kathy) Textor, and Carol (Dave) Pence, three step siblings; Louise (Ken) Soeder, Daniel (Josephine) Maring, and Randy (Anna)Maring, her longtime companion; Dennis Hawley and his three children; Erika (Sam) Hawley, Erin (Shawn) Hawley, and William Hawley, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and special friends Emily Haffenden and Beth Southworth who were very special to her.
She was preceded in death by her late husband; Henry Textor, her parents,  her step father; Ellsworth "Bug" Maring, and sister in law Donna Abbey.
The funeral will be held at 1PM on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Mayville United Methodist Church (81 S. Erie St). The Rev. Mark Parsons will officiate. Burial will be in the Dewittville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11AM to 1PM before the service at the church.
