BEMUS POINT-Betty Jane Brown Latta, 82 of Bemus Point, died Saturday, July 22, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born May 11, 1935 in Stedman, NY, the daughter of the late Clifford and Margaret Keefer Latta.
Betty was a housewife. She enjoyed doing puzzles with family and friends, watching the deer, and birds, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her six children; Ruby Thorp, Leroy A.(Stephanie) Brown, Debra M. Brown, Jane Ann Shields, Linda L. Courson, and Stacey L. Caldwell, four grandchildren; Dawn M. Thorp, Shaun E. Brown, Rosanna Hatfield, and Jason A. Shields, nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and two siblings; Joanne Briggs and Clifford Latta.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband; Leroy A. Brown Sr., a daughter: Roseanne Brown, two brothers and one sister.
There will be no visitation observed. A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Freay Funeral Home.
