MAYVILLE – Betty M. Walker, 78, of Mather Road, Mayville, died Tuesday (Oct. 11, 2016) at her home.
She was born May 25, 1938 in Erie, PA the daughter of the late Donald and Mildred Bemus Craig.
Betty had worked at Standard Portable in Mayville for several years. She was a member of Lake Chautauqua Memorial Post VFW in Mayville and a former member of the American Legion in Mayville.
Betty loved her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by four children, Dixie (Lyndon) Smith of Sherman, Dawn (Ron) Miller of Mayville, Daniel (Brenda Jordan) Pratt of Sherman, and Debra Pratt of Mayville; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Beatty of Union City, PA and Donna Benson of AZ; one step brother, Harold Peru Jr. of Union City, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry "Ray" Walker whom she married April 14, 1988 in Ashtabula, OH and who died June 19, 2003; a son Dewey Pratt in 1988; a grandson, Justin Dwight Miller; sister, Janet Beaumont; and her step father, Harold Peru Sr.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior (1:00 to 2:00) Saturday before the funeral service at the funeral home.
