Beverly P. Teague, RN

Beverly Phillips Teague of Lakewood NY passed away on November 1, 2022. She was born to Raymond and Ione Phillips on August 11, 1933. She was a graduate of Mayville Central School Class of 1950 and graduated as a registered nurse from WCA School of Nursing Class of 1954. She was a nurse for fifty years, practicing virtually every type of nursing possible.

She married John Teague on August 6, 1960. She and her husband enjoyed boating on Chautauqua Lake and transported their boat to the Erie Canal several summers across Lake Ontario up the Rideau Canal to Thousand Islands and the Great Lakes. Both pilots, they flew their own airplanes in the USA, Mexico, and the Bahamas. After his death in 1974, she continued to travel around the world, with Africa being the trip she enjoyed the most where she developed a love of elephants. She was a member of the Jamestown Little Theater, Jamestown Garden Club, Lakewood Yacht Club, and Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she served as President of the Episcopal Women's Club and also on the Vestry.

Beverly is survived by cousins Susan Rothmann (Philip Paul), Pamela Rothmann (Solomon Cokes), and Beth Rusnak (Joseph) and their children Jeremy Paul (Faye Hargate), J. Michael Rusnak, and Lauren Rusnak (Tony Annone) as well as her extended family Sara and Phineas DeMink and their sons, Porter, Fletcher and Trey and her many, many friends of many generations.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. She requested memorial gifts be made to St Paul's Episcopal Church, 99 South Erie St., Mayville, New York 14757 or the WCA Alumni School of Nursing Scholarship Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, 418 Spring Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
