WESTFIELD- Carl R. Dalrymple, 93, of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility in Jamestown, NY.

He was born July 14, 1927 in Jamestown, NY the son of the late George H. and Martina E. Flygari Dalrymple.

Carl was a United States Army Air Force veteran who served during WWII. After his service time he was employed by the NYSDOT, Kling's Furniture Factory in Mayville, NY, Reynolds AJAX in Westfield, NY, and worked for many years as a self-employed carpenter.

He was a life member of the Westfield Fish & Game Club, a former member of the Westfield Lodge No 118 Loyal Order of Moose, Westfield VFW Post 6764, and a life member of the NRA.

Carl enjoyed having coffee with the gentlemen at McDonalds in Westfield, making things in his woodshop, fishing, antiquing, and repairing antiques, hiking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by a daughter, Dianna "Peanut" (Leonard) Crandall of Sherman, NY, one sister; Anne Kline Moquin of Batavia, NY, one brother; David Dalrymple of Westfield, NY, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and one brother in law; Charlie Chapman of Westfield, NY.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elinor S. Dalrymple, whom he married July 2, 1966, one daughter; Deborah D. Curry, and one brother; Donald Dalrymple.

The funeral will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 South Erie St). The Rev. Daniel Prewitt will officiate.

Visitation will be for one hour prior the funeral (11AM to Noon), at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Westfield-Portland Union Cemetery.
