Catherine E. Vellam, 95, formerly of Silver Creek, NY, died Tuesday (February 2, 2016) at Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
She was born March 27, 1920 in Silver Creek, the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Mary Foley Bartlett Sr.
Catherine had been a secretary for Lake Shore High School in Angola, NY. She enjoyed reading, taking care of her house plants, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Gary Vellam II of Ashville, Bridget Manwaring of Panama, and Jennifer Leone of Westfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Vellam; her son, Gary Vellam; and a brother Arthur W. Bartlett Jr.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville.
