MAYVILLE-Clifford Emerson Latta, 79 of Mayville, died Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Lutheran Social Services in Jamestown.

He was born February 23, 1938 in Mayville, NY, the son of the late Clifford and Margaret Kieffer Latta.

Cliff was a veteran of the United States Marines. After his discharge he worked as a cook in many local restaurants.

He enjoyed cooking for others, playing pool, and time with his family, especially the kids of the family. He was everyone's favorite uncle.

Cliff is survived by his sister; Joanne Briggs, of Mayville, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents,  two sisters; Betty Brown and Barbara Carter, and two brothers; Kenneth and Marvin Latta, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation observed. A private graveside service will be held in Magnolia Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
