MAYVILLE-Conrad "Connie" Floyd Johnson, 81, of Mayville, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA.
He was born December 20, 1936 in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Cecil and Fern Shepard Johnson.
Connie owned and operated C&P Collison and Johnson Race Engines for many years in Mayville.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Connie belonged to the Mayville American Legion William L. Travis Post # 493, NRA, the Westfield Moose Lodge 118, the Jamestown War Vets, and was the former Fire Chief for the Hartfield Fire Department.
He enjoyed target shooting, hunting, fishing, building engines, and dog obedience training for the 4H.
Connie is survived by his wife, Patricia Weise Johnson, whom he married August 9, 1963 in Jessup, GA, a son; Charles Johnson of Mayville, four daughters; Linda Erhard of Mayville, Cindy Erhard of Sherman, Crystal Burrows of Florida, and Debra (Kevin) Wiseman of Westfield, twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a brother; Lester (Sue) Johnson of Mayville, two nephews, and a special friend, Dr. Russell Elwell of Mayville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson; Shawn O'Shany.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 2-4PM at the Mayville VFW Post 8647, 10 Memorial Dr., Mayville, NY 14757.
