MAYVILLE- Constance "Connie" May Gervaise Hannum, 91, of Mayville, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at her home.

She was born September 6, 1928 in Westfield, NY, the daughter of the late Charles Ross and Pearl Ann Warner Gervaise. Wife of the late Fredrick J. Hannum, Sr.

Connie graduated from Mayville Central School in 1946. She retired from Ethan Allen in 1990 after spending twenty years in the Accounting Department.

She was a member of the Mayville Eastern Stars and Mayville VFW Auxiliary. Connie enjoyed traveling with her family, gardening, knitting, watching Cleveland Indians Baseball, walking in her woods and living the country life.

On April 15, 1950, she and Fredrick were married in St Paul's Episcopal Church in Mayville, NY. Together they had 61 years of marriage. She always loved being with her husband and cherished the times with her family.

She is survived by two sons: Fredrick J. Hannum Jr., of Mayville, NY, and David (Cheryle) of Albuquerque, NM, two grandchildren, Kristen (Timothy) Baker of Albuquerque, NM, and Matthew (Kira) Hannum of Jacksonville, OR., four great grandchildren; Emaline Aria and Isla Brooke Hannum, and Inara Samantha and Iris Anne Baker, one brother; Henry (Norma) Gervaise of Mayville, NY, and several nieces,  nephews and cousins.

Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Fredrick J. (Fritz) Hannum, an infant daughter, one brother; Charles Gervaise, one sister; Mary Jane Perry, two  sister in laws; Elizabeth Reinke, and Nancy Hannum Carlson.

At Connie's request, all services will be private. A graveside service in Mayville Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family.
