MAYVILLE- Cynthia I. Haley Briggs, 62, of Mayville, died Monday, January 6, 2020 at her home.

She was born April 12, 1957 in Westfield, NY, the daughter of the late Susan Joyce Preston Atkinson.

Cindy worked for Chautauqua County Government in a variety of clerical positions for 20 years, leaving when she moved out of New York State. She was a graduate of Chautauqua Central School and Jamestown Business College.

She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, playing computer games and spending time with her family.

Cindy is survived by her husband; Donald A. Briggs Sr, of Mayville, NY, a son; Robert (Anna) Briggs, of Mayville, NY, a sister; Becky (Darrell) McCall of Canton, OH, a brother; Ken (Therese) Haley of Ashville, NY, several step siblings and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Briggs Jr, her mother and step-father; Susan and William Atkinson, two sisters; Sally Haley-McGee and Laura Gens, and a nephew; Timothy Krause.

At Cindy's request there will be no visitation or memorial service observed.
