SHERMAN – David Lee Martin, 79, of 8020 Nettle Hill Road, Sherman, died Sunday (April 13, 2014) in St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie, PA.

He was born January 29, 1935 in Lancaster, PA, the son of the late David E. and Irene Gable Martin.

David was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served during the Korean War era. David owned and operated his own farm.

He was a former member of the Mina Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

David enjoyed farming, his beef cattle and all of the great outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Ladene Harer Martin whom he married June 22, 1985 in Williamsport, PA., and his brother Philip Martin.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Freay Funeral Home in Mayville is in charge of arrangements.
