WESTFIELD- Deanna M. Freeman, 83, of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Absolut Care and Rehabilitation Center in Westfield, NY. She was born August 7, 1941, in Dunkirk, NY, the daughter of the late Clyde W and Dorothy Buck Thies.

She was a 1959 graduate of Westfield and Academy School. She had worked as a Secretary for Chautauqua County Social Services in Mayville, NY.

Deanna enjoyed researching ancestry and family history, crafting, sewing, knitting, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas M. Freeman of Westfield, whom she married on December 15, 1962, in the Portland Congregational Church, two sons, Jeffrey (Terry) Freeman of Westfield, Steven (Karen) Freeman of Westfield, one daughter, Betsy (Todd) Scott of Jamestown, NY, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Thies.

At Deanna's request, there will be no public services observed. I private graveside service will be held at the Portland Evergreen Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
