Demaris "Dee" Gertrude (Briggs) DiNardo passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022, at Heritage Park Health Care Center, Jamestown, NY.

Demaris was born October 17, 1934, in Jamestown, NY to Frank and Gertrude (Fisk) Briggs of Westfield, NY.

Dee proudly grew up in Westfield and graduated from Westfield Academy & Central School and attended Jamestown Community College. She was an x-ray technician at St. Vincent Hospital and then Buffalo General Hospital for a few years. She married Fred C. "Bud" Buxton Jr. on January 18, 1964 and became a housewife raising their three sons in Mayville, NY. In the 1970's she had a daycare service babysitting several local children. In 1980 she started and operated the Buxton Upholstery Business from home with her husband Fred.

After the death of her first husband Fred, Dee married childhood friend Charles R. DiNardo in 1990 and happily resided in Irving, NY. The two whimsically traveled the world and greatly enjoyed their golden years together

Dee is survived by her husband Charles; sons Fred C. Buxton III, John D. (Roxanne) Buxton, and Eric A. Buxton; stepchildren Jane A. (Jerry) Burzynski, Daniel C. DiNardo, Charles T. DiNardo, and Kathryn L. (Robert) Sitek; grandchildren Chelsea L. Buxton, Brent J. Buxton, Rylee M. Buxton, Bradley W. Howard, Justin A. Nusom, and Shane M. (Danielle) Nusom; great-grandchildren Elliana and Jorah Buxton, Olivia and Chance Blanchard II.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Fred who died June 26, 1986, as well as an older brother Donald G. Briggs, and infant sisters Mary and Margaret.

Demaris loved her family unconditionally and lived simply enjoying her flower gardens, novels, and dogs. She celebrated the leaves changing colors in autumn, the drama of the tall pines in the winter snow, the bright tulips that heralded the return of spring, and the many hummingbirds drawn to their feeders.

A funeral service at the Mayville Cemetery is being planned for the late spring of 2023.
