JAMESTOWN-Dennis "Denny" Lee Baker, 64, of Jamestown and formerly of Mayville, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at UPMC Chautauqua WCA in Jamestown, NY

He was born August 3, 1953 in Olean, NY, the son of Patricia L. Darby Baker and the late Donald L. Baker.

Denny had been a concrete finisher for Lakeshore Paving in Jamestown, NY, and belonged to the International Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union.

He lived to be in the woods or on a lake as he was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending much time on Chautauqua Lake, Lake Erie and Lake Ontario targeting walleye and salmon. He enjoyed NASCAR, bowling, and was a charter boat captain of the Macie Lee.

Denny is survived by his mother; Patricia Darby Baker, of Mayville, a daughter; Macie Lee Baker, of Jamestown, three step children; Olivia, Jake and Ryan Sinatra, of Jamestown, NY, a brother; Randy (Sharon) Darby, of Dillsboro, IN, two sisters; Phyllis (Kevin Leicht) Baker, of Urbana, IL, and Paulette (Jay Freeman) of Dewittville, NY, one aunt; Becky Archer, of Tarpon Springs, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; Donald L. Baker.

The funeral will be held at 3PM on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St, 14757). The Rev. Dayle Keefer will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for three hours (12-3PM) prior to the service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
