RIPLEY- Dennis Allen Yokom, 70, of Ripley, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 after a short and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born March 1, 1951 in Ripley, NY, the son of the late Dutch and Laura Noble Yokom.

Dennis was a 1969 graduate of Sherman Central School. After high school he worked as an Upfitter for Cummins Inc, in Lakewood, NY where he retired from.

He enjoyed golfing, football, feeding the deer and birds, mowing the grass at the South Ripley cemetery and spending time with family.

Dennis is survived by his wife of forty years; Colleen Henry Yokom, whom he married on Thanksgiving of 1992, three children; Dick (Kelly) Yokom of Jamestown, Jason (Georgia) Yokum of Skaneateles, NY and Schawn (Erin) Spellman of Northeast, PA, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four brothers; Raymond Yokom of TX, Stan (Mary) Yokom of Northeast, PA, Don Yokom of Ripley, NY, and Les (Sue) Yokom of Ripley, NY, two sisters; Ginger Howard of Northeast, PA, and Jane Moore of Mayville, NY, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

At Dennis's request there will be no public services observed. A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
