SHERMAN- Diane M. Paul, 71, of Sherman, passed away on October 14, 2020 at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was born January 19, 1949 in Corry, PA, the daughter of the late Richard and Jessie Valentine Warnshuis.

Diane was a 1967 graduate of Sherman Central School and had attended the Raphael School of Cosmetology in Jamestown.  She was also a School Bus Driver for Sherman Central School for thirty years.

She loved riding her horses and participating in horse competitions. She also enjoyed her flower gardens, her past time as a girl scout leader and traveling with friends.

Diane is survived by her two daughters; Jill (David) Pacy of Sherman and Christy Paul of Sherman, three grandchildren; Kimberly of Pittsburgh, PA, and Kathryn and Nicholas of Sherman, three nephews; Kenny, Cory and Craig Warnshuis, three cousins; Spencer Tenhagen, and Jean and Marie Hanrahan.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Nicholas Paul whom she married January 1, 1971 in the Morse Hotel, her parents, and one brother; Paul Warnshuis.

There will be no visitation observed. A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Sherman Cemetery. Rev Mark Hanson from the Jamestown Church of the Nazarene will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Stanley Hose Fire Department (PO Box 574 Sherman, NY 14781), Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care (20 W Fairmount Ave, Lakewood, NY 14750) or the Chautauqua County Humane Society (2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701).
