DEWITTVILLE- Donald K. Arnold, 78 of Dewittville, died peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at home with family at his side.

Born in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Gladys Giles Arnold.

Don had been a dairy farmer in Dewittville. After his retirement he became the owner and operator of Willow Run Kennels.

He belonged to the Fox Hunters Association, Charlotte Coon Hunters Association, Mayville Saddle Club, Northern Chautauqua Beagle Club, and also volunteered with the Sinclairville Meals on Wheels 76ers.

Don loved his hunting dogs, game shows with horses, and snowmobile racing. He was inducted into the 2009 American Kennel Club Hall of Fame for Beagles and had articles about him published in the Better Beagling and Hounds and Hunters magazines.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Bemus Arnold, whom he married January 9, 1965 in Dewittville, NY, two brothers; Ronald (Lillian) Arnold, and Stephen (Trudy) Arnold, two sisters; Roxanna (Chuck) Maytum, and JoAnne Hitcome, and several nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his sister; Wendy Fiorella.

At Don's request, his body was donated to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
