MAYVILLE – Dorothy P. Jandrew, 90, formerly of Plank Road, Mayville, died Tuesday (September 15, 2015) in the Gowanda Nursing and Rehab in Gowanda.
She was born October 22, 1924 in Jamestown, NY the daughter of the late Frederick and Inez Loucks Cooper.
Dorothy had worked for the Mayville Plastic's and for Envirogas Energies in Mayville.
She was a member of the Hartfield Fire Dept. Auxiliary, and the Mayville Senior Citizens.
Dorothy enjoyed cooking, camping, and being with her family.
She is survived by her son Clyde A. "Sonny" (Donna) Jandrew of Mayville; her daughter, Susan C. (Lester) Johnson of Mayville; five grandchildren, Brenda (Steve) Griffin of SC, Larenda Lutgen of Mayville, Timothy (Doris) Johnson of Mayville, Steven Johnson of Mayville, and Kenny Jandrew of Randolph; 7 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Jandrew whom she married December 24, 1941 in Napoli, NY and who died Feb. 23, 1980.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. Rev. Richard Hamilton of the Stockton Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
