SHERMAN- Dorothy A Munger Bevacqua, 96, of Sherman, died on Friday, October 19, 2018, at her daughter's home in Clymer.

She was born June 25, 1922 in Laona, NY, the daughter of the late Lester and Blanch Lewis Hinds.

Dorothy had been a Seamstress for Barmon Brothers Dress Factory, Westfield, NY and Jeri Lauri Fashions in Jamestown.

She belonged to the South Ripley United Methodist Church, the Fredonia Grange # 1, the Rebekah's, Eastern Stars, and was a 4-H Leader.

Dorothy enjoyed sewing, knitting, and quilting, and time with her family. A highlight of her life was sewing for the singer-actress Cher, whom she visited at her home in California.

Dorothy is survived by her two daughters; Linda (Nelson) TeCroney, and Melva (Bill) Rowan, a step daughter-in-law; Jody Bevacqua, a daughter-in-law; Johann Munger, nine grandchildren; Kristine Hamilton, Kimberley (Todd) Cole, Aaron (Marie Jose) TeCroney, Linnel TeCroney, Brad (Miriam) TeCroney, Dana (Lou) TeCroney, Kathryn Rowan Kristin Irwin, and Torsten (Manuela) Mietko, fourteen great grandchildren; Ashley (Aaron) Davis, Joshua (Melanie) Cole, Alyssa, Jeremy, and Abigail Cole, Jade and Melissa TeCroney, Lyric and Kale Rowan, Miriam and Micah Dye, Ava-Kay and Ry-Lea Irwin, Johanna and Elisabeth Mietko, and four great great grandchildren; Zoey and Kaleigh Davis, and Bella and Emma Cole.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband; Roger Munger, her second husband; Russell Bevacqua, a son; Gilbert Munger, and a stepson; John Bevacqua.

There will be no visitation observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
