Here's the deal...
This is Duane Edward Frudd speaking — or, well, maybe narrating from above. I've officially gone to be with the Lord on July 7, 2025. (Yes, in July — so, Merry Christmas!) I was born in Rochester, NY, on March 24, 1947, to Charles B. Frudd and Margaret L. Griswold.

I served my country proudly in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968, in the Vietnam War, and always stood by those who served.

I called Brocton, NY home, but you could often find me at Park Methodist Church in Cassadaga, where I was proud to be a regular attendee. I donated to the church's youth basketball program — because if there's one thing I loved, it was seeing kids play ball and have fun (okay, two things if you count hot fudge sundaes… and banana splits).

Now, pay attention — I was basically a big kid myself. I loved trains, old cars, basketball, and music from the good ol' days. If you ever heard the oldies cranked a little too loud — yeah, that was probably me.

I leave behind my wonderful wife Sharon — we had 27 years of laughs, love, and a few arguments about how many plants she brought home. I'm also survived by my brothers H. Laverne Frudd and Robert Frudd; my stepchildren Matthew Wilson (Heidi), Bryan Wilson (Ashley), and Melissa Wilson (Russell), with whom I shared a close and cherished bond; my grandchildren Kamryn, Kenadie, Andrea, Rion, and Gia; and great-grandchildren Amelia and Rylan (don't ever get old!). There's also a whole crew of nieces, nephews, and my biological children Andrew, Rhonda, Heather, and Scott, loved and never forgotten. I was greeted in Heaven by my siblings Eugene, Emma, and Charles — and my little furry best friend, Skippy, who's probably already begging for a treat up here.

Friends and family will be received at Park Methodist Church, 25 Maple Ave, Cassadaga, on Monday, July 14, from 4:00-7:00PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at Park Methodist Church, 25 Maple Ave, Cassadaga, NY, on Tuesday, July 15, at 11:00AM. Committal Service will be immediately following at the Dewittville cemetery. A reception will follow at Park Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor my memory may make donations to Park Methodist Church's youth program. Trust me — it'll make a difference, and that's what matters.

So that's the deal, folks. Don't be sad too long. Play some oldies, eat some ice cream, be kind to people — and for goodness' sake, pay attention — life's too short not to enjoy the ride.

Merry Christmas… even if it is July.
