WESTFIELD- Eugene "Geno" Edwin Steger, 74, of Westfield, NY and formerly of Dunkirk, NY passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Buffalo General Medical Center, Buffalo, NY.

He was born December 17, 1946 in Dunkirk, NY, the son of the late Oscar and Pauline Lewis Steger of Cherry Creek, NY.

Geno had been a Maintenance Planner for Growers Co-Op Juice Co. in Westfield. In previous years he also worked for Better Baked Foods, Red Wing, and Dunkirk Ice Cream. Through his experiences he developed a craft and passion for designing CAD drawings and assisted with several local projects for friends and businesses.

He was a member of the Westfield American Legion John W. Rogers Post 327, the Westfield Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 118, and the Chautauqua County Corvette Club.

Geno had a true passion for golfing.  He spent many weekends at Pinehurst Golf Club teaching his daughter how to golf.  He also enjoyed watching and attending Buffalo Bills and Sabres games, going to the drag races, remodeling his home, and spending quality time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his daughter; Heather (Michael) Singleton of Clifton Park, NY, a brother; William (Virginia) Imm, of Westfield, NY, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Rosella Carlson and Harriett Hoffower, and one brother; Frank Imm.

There will be no services observed at this time, however a private graveside service will be held at the Burnham Hollow Cemetery at a future date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Westfield Fire Department (20 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY).
