MAYVILLE – Eva Mae Schneider, 88, of Morris Street, Mayville, died Sunday May 17, 2015 at home.
She was born July 3, 1926 in Colden, NY the daughter of the late John and Fanny Darby MacDiarmid.
Eva was a member of the Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church, the former Acanthus Order of Eastern Stars where she was a past matron, and now belonged to Acacia Chapter of Eastern Stars, and she was a life member of Lake Chautauqua Memorial Post VFW Auxiliary.
Eva enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, and she enjoyed traveling. She loved her family very much.
She is survived by two sons, Charles (Audrey) Schneider of Orchard Park, NY and Ron (Sharon) Schneider of Mayville; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; 1 sister, Dorothy Wolfe of Buffalo, NY.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack F. Schneider whom she married January 17, 1943 in Buffalo and who died April 19, 2014; and one son, Jack E. Schneider who died July 10, 2005.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (June 13, 2015) at the Dewittville United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Parsons will officiate.
