WESTFIELD-Garett Jennings Bowen, 28, of Westfield, NY who had recently resided in Erie, PA passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2021, in Erie, PA.

He was born October 26, 1992, in Westfield, NY, the son of Timothy Jennings Bowen and Shelly Hunt Bowen.

Garett was a 2011 graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School. He also attended E2CCB LoGuidice Educational Center of Fredonia, NY for welding. He had worked as a construction worker for Jeremie Harris Solutions LLC in Girard, PA. His passions included music, ATVs, motorcycles, his tool collection, scenic hikes in the woods, fishing, camping, his movie collection, model cars, and spending time with his family, especially his son, Blake who was his greatest treasure and the love of his life. The two of them would regularly play video games together such as Roblox, Fortnite, and GTA. He also had a very special place in his heart for his niece Kaden, who called him Uncle Cubby. He enjoyed building legos and riding bikes with the kids and trying to teach them how to do wheelies. He loved holidays with his family. His two favorites were Halloween when he loved carving pumpkins, and Christmas when he had a very special job of placing the angel at the top of the tree.

Garett is survived by his children; Blake Jennings Bowen of Westfield and Elizabeth of Erie, his parents; Timothy Jennings Bowen and Shelly Hunt Bowen of Westfield, one sister; Nikole Bowen of Westfield, one niece; Kaden Byrd of Westfield, his maternal grandmother; Sherryl McCrea Hunt Kelly of Mayville, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; Lloyd A. Hunt and his paternal grandparents; John Jennings Bowen and Leona Waite Bowen.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St).

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the funeral home.
