DEWITTVILLE- Gene C. Raynor, 64, of Dewittville, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 17, 2026. He was born January 9, 1962, in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Ward and Henrietta Miller Raynor.

Gene was a 1983 graduate of Mayville Central School. He was a member of the Northeast, PA Kingdom Hall. He loved talking to people, participating in the Special Olympics, collecting football cards, shooting hoops with the basketball, family picnics and Mountain Dew. His smile lit up the room!

Gene is survived by seven siblings, Judith A. Thies of Dewittville, NY, Linda (James) Wray of Dewittville, NY, Suzanne (Norm) Conway of Dunkirk, NY, Donna (Dennis) Dixon of Dewittville, NY, Diane Schultz of Jamestown, NY, Dawn Raynor of Dewittville, NY and Robin (Tracy) Raynor of Dewittville, NY, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Raynor and William W. Raynor Sr., and three nephews, William W. Raynor Jr., James Raynor and Richard Stow.

The family will receive friends for calling hours from 4-6 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St, Mayville). A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Portland Evergreen Cemetery.
