DEWITTVILLE- Gerry Delbert King, 66, of Dewittville, died Saturday, September 1, 2018 at his home.

He was born December 16, 1951 in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Claud and Gladys "Skip" Bird King.

Gerry had been a self-employed cattle hauler for the past 35 years and was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he was a marine mechanic, E4  grade, rank of MM3, serving from 1970 to 1976.

He had been a member of the Edwards Chapel United Methodist Church in Clymer, and a life member of the North American fishing and hunting clubs.

Gerry enjoyed fishing, nature walks, traveling, boating, and his dog, Korey.

He is survived by his four sons; Tod Vincent of Jamestown, Kurt (Heather) Vincent of Tulsa, OK, Robert and Timothy King of Tampa, FL, two granddaughters; Ashley and Malibu Vincent, three sisters; Charlene, Sharon, and Anita, two brothers; Steve and Dale, and a special friend and caregiver; Lori and Jim Bender.

Gerry was preceded in death by his wife; Patricia Sauner King, whom he married November 11, 1990, his parents, his father and mother in-law; Jack and Irene Sauner, one brother; Bill Tressler, and two sisters; Pat Thomas and Margie Terry.

There will be no visitation observed at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
