SHERMAN – Gilbert Munger of Sherman, NY and Manchester, TN died at home on September 13, 2016. He was born on January 3, 1941, the son of Dorothy Hinds Munger Bevacqua and the late Roger Munger.
Gilbert attended Sherman Central School and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Ware. He was a self-employed mechanic and in later years worked as a handy man doing odd jobs for friends and family. He spent his spare time with computers and summers in his vegetable garden.
Gilbert is survived by his mother; daughters: Kristine Hamilton of Rincon, GA, and Kimberly (Todd) Cole of Sherman; grandchildren, Ashley (Aaron) Davis of Rincon, Ga, Joshua (Melanie) Cole, Alyssa Cole, Jeremy Cole and Abigail Cole all of Sherman; great-grandchildren, Zoey Davis and Bella Cole. Also surviving are his sisters, Linda (Nelson) TeCroney, and Melva (Bill) Rowan; and his dog, Ginger.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 2, 2016 at 123 Miller Street, Sherman, NY. From 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
