MAYVILLE – Harold L. Lewis, 82, formerly of North Erie Street in Mayville, died Saturday (March 5, 2016) at Absolut at Westfield.
He was born January 1, 1934 in Medina, NY the son of the late Harold G. and Mary Jane Coon Lewis.
Harold was a furniture maker at Ethan Allen Furniture in Mayville.
He is survived by his brother Joseph (Marjorie) Lewis of North East, Pa; three sisters, Myrtle Carlton of Busti, Mary Lewis, and Betty Provenzano of Jamestown; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Northrup Lewis whom he married August 28, 1993 at the Lakeside Park in Mayville and who died June 29, 2012; three sisters, Alice Lewis, Irene Lewis, and Dolly Lewis; four brothers, Norman, Roy, Gerald and Albert Lewis.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. Pastor Mark Shettler of the North East United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Dewittville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Tuesday prior to the funeral service.
