JAMESTOWN, NY- James L. Hansen, 60, of Jamestown, NY, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 16 ^th , at his home due to natural causes.

He was born May 30 ^th , 1958, in Miami, FL., the son of James G. Hansen and Janet M. Hansen of Mayville.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his longtime companion; Wendy Dloniak and their son, Luke James Hansen, his sisters; Juline (Bruce) Battler, Jane Morton, brothers; Jeffrey (Deborah) Hansen, and Jason (Cherie) Hansen.

Mr. Hansen was employed by Cummins Engine, Inc. since 1980. He made many friends during his tenure at Cummins Engine and in recent years was recognized with a perfect attendance award that he was very proud of.

Jim had several hobbies in his lifetime, which included playing on several softball and golf leagues. He was an avid baseball card collector and was passionate about the New York Yankee's.

Jim was preceded in death by his nephew, Peter W. Morton and his brother in law, William W. Morton.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville, NY.

Services will not be observed, but a celebration of Jim's life will be held at a future date.

Jim was always a caretaker for several pets that seemed to find their way to his home over the years. In memory of Jim's life, any donations to the Chautauqua County Humane Society would be appreciated.
