MAYVILLE- James "Jim" Paul Holcomb, 71, of Mayville passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Absolut Care of Westfield.

He was born April 14, 1950 in Westfield, NY the son of the late Paul W. and Viola C. Hodas Holcomb.

Jim was a 1968 graduate of Mayville Central School. He had owned and operated Jim's Garage in Hartfield for over forty years where he worked as an auto mechanic.

He enjoyed building race cars, Fords, and collecting Ford racing cards.

Jim is survived by his three brothers; John Holcomb of Oakland, CA, Thomas Holcomb of Mayville, and Phillip Holcomb of Cassadaga.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister; Patricia Ann Holcomb Carry.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7PM on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St.). A Catholic committal service will be held in the Mayville Cemetery at 11AM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Father Todd Remick will officiate.
