SHERMAN- Jeanne C. Heater, 85, of Sherman, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA.

She was born in Albany, NY, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Maude Irene Wagner Heater.

Prior to her retirement, Jeanne worked as a Secretary for Chautauqua County's Department of Social Services. Earlier in her career she worked for the Westfield Phone Company.

As an avid animal lover and pet owner, she supported the Humane Society.

Jeanne is survived by her nieces and nephews; Amy (James) Sproveri of Fairport, NY, Julie (Douglas) Legters of Orchard Park, NY, Patrick Greiner of Sherman, NY, and Mike (Kim) Greiner of Bemus Point, NY, one brother in law; Richard Greiner of Sherman, NY and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Greiner.

There will be no prior visitation observed. A graveside service will be held in the Sherman Cemetery on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11AM. The Rev. Paul Sears will officiate.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Jeanne's neighbors, the Community of Sherman, in addition to Sherman's Stanley Hose Fire Department, Tops Grocery Store in Mayville, the Mayville's M&T Bank, Meals on Wheels, and the Chautauqua County CARTS for their assistance, support and care of Jeanne through the years.
