MAYVILLE- John Paul Beck, 70, of Mayville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his home.

He was born March 16, 1950 in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Paul and Jeanette Hunt Beck.

John was a 1968 graduate of Mayville Central School. He had worked for and retired from the NYSDOT in Mayville as a heavy equipment operator.

He was a member of the NRA and the Westfield Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed hunting, ham radios, his German Shepard, and time with his family.

John is survived by his wife; Patricia A. Sechriest Beck, whom he married May 29, 1971 in Mayville, NY, two daughters; Lynda (Fred) DeGolier of Jamestown, Julie (Rob Mack) Rizzo of Wellsville, NY, five grandchildren; Emily and Madison DeGolier, Owen and Haylie Rizzo, and Jonathan Mack, one nephew; Tom Crandall, and one niece; Janet Crandall.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Mary Crandall.

At John's request there will be no services observed. A private celebration of life will take place at the convenience of the family.
