BROCTON- Justin Thomas Spicer, 43, of Erie, PA and formerly of Brocton, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 5, 2023, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

He was born September 28, 1979, in Dunkirk, NY, the son of Larry W. and Rosemary M. Hall Spicer.

Justin graduated from Brocton Central School. He then attended Culinary School in Pittsburgh, PA and worked there for three years as a chef. Most recently he worked as a self-employed contractor in Erie, PA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and time with his family, especially his two daughters.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two daughters: Jaylen Grace Spicer and Rikki Nova Hale, two brothers: James Spicer of Brocton and Jason (Shelly) Spicer of Portland, and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Portland Congregational Church in Portland, NY (8649 Church St.). The Rev. Joshua Ehmke will officiate. Burial will be in the Portland Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service (12 noon to 1 PM) at the church.
