MAYVILLE – Kenneth "Pete" Ecker, 69, of Jackson Street, died Sunday (July 10, 2016) at home.
He was born November 3, 1946 in Portland, NY the son of the late Iver and Irene Blanchard Ecker.
Pete was a veteran of the US Army serving during Vietnam.
He was a life member of the Daleville, Ind. American Legion, and a life member of the Westfield VFW 6764.
Pete enjoyed watching old western classic movies, and doing crossword puzzles.
He is survived three children, Tracy Ecker of Mayville, Vikki (Larry Oaks II) of Sugar Grove, PA, and William Osthagen of Mayville; 5 grandchildren, Merea, Danielle, Trevor, Krystal, and Kaitlyn; 2 great grandchildren; 5 siblings, David (Garnet), Ed (Robin), Elda, Selma, and Donald.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday in the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 2 pm prior to the service on Saturday, in the funeral home.
