MAYVILLE- Kevin Nellis Sr, 67, of Tucson, AZ, and formerly of Mayville, NY passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 in Tucson, AZ following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 14, 1954 in Westfield, NY the son of the late Alfred and Lucille Cochran Nellis.

Kevin was a 1972 graduate of Mayville Central School. He then moved to Arizona where he worked for Kerley Chemical Corp. as well as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator.

He was a former member of the Tucson Desert Dancers, and enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by a daughter; Kimberly Nellis of Green Valley, AZ a son; Kevin Nellis Jr of Gilbert, AZ, three grandsons; Kaleb, Kevin III and Harvey, and one granddaughter; Emma, all of AZ, a sister; Kelly (Maurice) Smith of Westfield, NY, an adopted sister; Patti (Jerry) Dudley of Dewittville, NY, one niece; Katelyn Smith, one nephew; Jared Smith, a great niece; Katya Smith-Worden and great nephew; Trenton Smith-Worden, two aunts; Ruth Nelson and Lois Edwards and many cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepfather, Richard Cochran.

There will be no public services observed at this time. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
