MAYVILLE- Lamar "Mark" Harrell, 85, of Mayville, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 with his loving wife Pam at his side.

He was born December 17, 1934 in Florida, the son of the late Bismark and Mercy Dese Horn Harrell.

Mark had worked for the United States Postal Service in Hartford, CT.

He attended various churches throughout his life.  He had a joyful spirit and was passionate in serving the Lord. He prayed for and encouraged people and wherever he went he left a trail of blessings. Mark also enjoyed cars and could often be seen waxing his car in the driveway and chatting with passersby.

He is survived by his wife; Pamela M. Hietanen Harrell, whom he married July 11, 2003 at the Thayer Hill Luensman Overlook in Portland, NY, two children; Kelley (Robert) Everett of Queen Creek, AZ, and Marcus (Marcaria) Harrell of Florida, one step son; Christian (Melissa) Hietanen of Staatsburg, NY, five grandchildren; Chaunci Toney, Devon, Derrick, Marcus, and Meiko, Harrell, two step grandchildren; Larson and Annika Hietanen, three great grandchildren; one brother; Walter Harrell, and many nieces, and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Bismark, John Lee, and Gregory Harrell, and four sisters; Gloria Harrell-Lee, Deloris Roane, Dorothy "Patty" Cohen, and Mariam Jefferson.

A celebration of life will be held at the Pier in Barcelona, NY at a later date at the convenience of the family.
