MAYVILLE- Louise Ann (Iverson) Remick, 77 of Mayville, died Thursday, August 18, 2017 in Williamsville, NY.
She was born February 17, 1940 in Troy, NY, the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen (Walcott) Iverson.
Louise had been a teacher and Nurse Practitioner, serving as the school nurse for Panama Central School for many years.
She was also a Docent at Erie County Botanical Gardens. A Master Gardener, Louise could often be found planting. She was a member of the Gourmet Club as she loved to cook, and especially enjoyed family gatherings. Louise loved to teach and was a life-long learner. She loved all animals, especially her cats and Grand-dogs.
Louise is survived by her husband, Richard J. Remick, whom she married March 2, 1963 in Schaghticoke, NY, four children; Mark (Carol) Remick of Ashville, NC, Rev. Todd Remick of Bemus Point, NY, Brett (Amy) Remick of Williamsville, NY, and Amy (Eric) Grossman of Hamburg, NY, four grandchildren; Max and Spencer Remick, and Sydney and Cole Grossman,, one brother; William (Susan) Iverson of Washington, DC, and five nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Funeral Mass will be held on September 1, 2017 at 11AM at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, Bemus Point, NY. Father Todd Remick will officiate.
Calling hours will not be observed.
