MAYVILLE – Luella I. Auge, 78, formerly of Chautauqua-Stedman Road, Mayville, died Friday (January 11, 2013) in WCA Hospital in Jamestown.

She was born September 24, 1934 in Ellery, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Worden Cole.

Luella was a member of the Lake Erie Baptist Church in Brocton.

Luella enjoyed cooking, baking, and reading. She was a very giving person who would give to others before she would give to herself. She had unconditional love for everyone.

She is survived by eight children, Arlene (Jim) Monaco of VA, Corrine Beatman of Mayville, Loretta (Stan) Briggs of Mayville, Gregory (Jeanne) Auge of Liberty, NC, Valerie (Clifford) Braun of Albion, NY, Carol (Jeffrey Gustafson) Myers of Sherman, Douglas (Loretta) Auge of Mayville, and Marlene (Arthur) Auno of Arcadia, FL; 21 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; two brothers, John Cole of Heritage Green Health Care in Greenhurst, and Devere (Paula) Patterson of Jamestown; two sisters, Betty and Bonnie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lauren D. Auge who died June 5, 2007; one brother, George Cole.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday in the Freay Funeral Home, Mayville. Pastor Gary Nutt of the Lake Erie Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday in the funeral home.
