DEWITTVILLE-Margaret "Maggie" Helen Everhart Kocher, 91 of Dewittville, and formerly of Malvern, OH, died Saturday, April 21, at the Heritage Green Skilled Nursing Home in Greenhurst, NY.

She was born November 20, 1926 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late Anthony Ujcich and Mary Beltz Nigro.

Maggie had worked at the former Kling factory and Quality Markets, both in Mayville, and at  Hannon Electric in Canton, OH.

She belonged to the First Christian Church in Malvern, OH, and the Malvern Historical Society. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, puzzles, helping with elections in Malvern attending church services and spending time with her family.

Maggie is survived by two daughters; Peggy (Butch) Beck Cole of Hartfield, and Ruth (Dave) Byler of Spartensburg, PA, a son; Kenneth (Shirley) Beck of Hartfield, her grandchildren; William Osthagen, Vikki Oaks, Tracy Ecker, Chad and Chase Beck, Monica and Melanie Near, Crystal (Jared) Schneider, and Melissa and Lonnie Hill, a grand dog; Jake, four step grandsons in Florida; Richard, Robert, Douglas, and Billy Joe Cole, two brothers; John and Pete, two sisters; Bernice and Ann, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Ray Kocher, whom she married on May 12, 1973 in Malvern, OH, her mother and step father; Mike and Mary Beltz Nigro, her adopted father; Ward Everhart, a brother; William, a sister; Grace, and a son; Bill Beck.

The funeral will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville. The Rev. Daniel Prewitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Malvern, OH.

The family will receive friends for two hours (12-2PM) before the service at the funeral home.
