MAYVILLE – Margaret I. Kammer, 91, of Bourbonnais, IL, formerly of Warren, Mayville, and Westfield, died Monday (February 2, 2015) in Bourbonnais.
She was born April 21, 1923 in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Emil and Esther Johnson Carlson.
Margaret had been a registered nurse at Westfield Memorial Hospital and at Lutheran Social Services in Jamestown.
She was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mayville and had been a member of the Martha Circle at the church.
She is survived by two children, Tim (JoAnne) Kammer of Mayville and Pamela (Christopher) Powell of Bourbonnais, IL; four grandchildren, Eric Kammer of Portland, Org., Kristin Kammer of Mayville, Jonathon Powell of Bourbonnais and Kelsey Powell of Bourbonnais; one great grandson, Jaxon T. Kammer of Portland, OR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack K. Kammer whom she married on October 28, 1950 in Warren, PA, and who died January 23, 2012.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Warren, PA.
The Freay Funeral Home in Mayville is in charge of arrangements.
