WESTFIELD- Margie Ann Crandall, 79, of Westfield, NY passed away Monday, May 30, 2022, at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA with family at her side.

She was born December 30, 1942, in Johnstown, PA, the daughter of the late Richard and Ethel Gray Thomas.

Margie had attended Mayville Central School. She met many people thru the years working at Elwells Tastee Freeze, the Olde Corner Deli or for Pete and Lorraine Johnson at the Season Ticket, Bellinger Hall and Catering around Chautauqua County.

She enjoyed traveling even if it meant just going for car rides to the local grocery store. Of course, stopping to get something to eat was always a priority. From Jacks in Barcelona to the Peppermill in Warren and everything in-between. She loved going to Lake Erie to see it in all weather. From the mighty waves to the beautiful sunsets. Her most important part was doing all these things with her family.

Margie married James Crandall Sr., April 7 ^th , 1962. Margie is survived by their three children; Celeste (Paul) Horton of Hartfield, NY, Michele (Joe) Seale of Jemison, AL, and James A. Crandall Jr. of Westfield, NY, a granddaughter; Stephanie (John) Easterwood of Gordo, AL, three great grandchildren and a special friend; Sue Gambino of Westfield, NY.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Ricky and Michael Thomas, and one sister; Rebecca Thomas.

The funeral will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St). The Rev. Nicholas Perry will officiate. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery. Friends will be received for visitation for two hours prior to the funeral (10AM to Noon) at the funeral home.
