SHERMAN- Mark W Bemis, 66, of Sherman, NY, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. He was born August 30, 1958, in Corry, PA, the son of the late Max A Bemis and Sadie Shinko Bemis Johnson.

Mark had attended Clymer Central School. He had worked for General Electric in Erie, PA as a Locomotive Painter, where he retired from. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Mark is survived by his wife, Valerie Peck Bemis, whom he married on October 21, 1979, in Sherman, NY, four sons, Brandon K Peck (April) of Elgin, PA, Zack M Bemis (Carrie) of Bloomington, IL, Jared T Bemis (Nicole) of North East, PA, and Jace T Bemis (Kristie) of Findley Lake, NY, seven grandchildren, three sisters, Debbie Gold (Ned), of Warren, OH, Janni Cooper (Dennis) of Findley Lake, NY and Leanna Jagta (David) of Corry, PA, a Brother In-law, William Peck (Debbie) of Panama, NY, and a sister In-law, Georgianna Peck of Sherman, NY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Eugene and Evelyn Peck and a brother-in-law, Ronald Peck.

At the family's request, there will be no public services observed. A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
