Mayville-Martha "Lucille" Mayer, 94 of South Dayton, formerly from the Mayville/Westfield area, died Friday, April 14 at the TLC Healthcare Network Lakeshore Hospital in Silver Creek.
She was born February 22, 1923 in Curwensville, PA, the daughter of the late Eugene and Malissa Jane Benson Erhard.
Lucille loved playing BINGO, taking walks and her morning coffee at the local diner, Vine City, where she was such a regular that she had a reserved table daily.
She is survived by her five children; Nancy (Charles) Smith of Westfield, Joseph (Susan) Mayer of Arizona, Robert Erhard of Jamestown, Melissa Webb of South Dayton, and Belinda (James) Mayer of Florida, 20 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren, as well as one brother and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and two sisters.
The family will receive friends at the Freay Funeral Home, 139 S. Erie St., Mayville on Wednesday, April 19 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11am at the funeral home. Michael Paternosh and Pete Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Mayville Cemetery.
